League of Legends

If you're trying to rank up in League of Legends to either earn some bragging rights or some sweet end-of-season loot, you've got just a week to do so before Season 7 ends.

With everything that's been released and announced for League in recent months, it's understandable to have lost track of time and fallen behind in your ranked matches. Whether it's because you're spending too much time playing Doom Bots of Doom and Dark Star: Singularity or if you've just plateaued and are having troubles moving forward, now's the time to get it in gear and push your rank to the next division to grab that ranked border that's been eluding you all season. The ranked season ends on Nov. 7, a Tuesday that'll bring about the finalizing of everyone's ranks as we move forward into one of the biggest preseasons yet.

Of course, this end-of-the-season stretch could very well go two ways for you. On the one hand, you might encounter plenty of other players who are all working towards the same goal of advancing to the next tier. Finding those players could definitely stack you with a team worthy of moving on that'll help you pull out those wins. But on the other hand, you might be paired with people who are still pushing for the upper ranks but have been out of ranked for some time and just want the rewards. Whichever side you end up on, you can expect ranked queues to be pretty populated leading up to Nov. 7.

Depending on what rank you make it to by the end of the season, you've got a couple of incentives waiting on you. Reaching Gold will net you most of the rewards that include a Victorious Graves skin along with other bonuses, but the higher the rank the better your loading screen border will be.

And with the end of this season, Season 8 will kick off with the exciting new Runes Reforged system. If you haven't been keeping up with the changes, now's the time to brush up on them and plan out your rune pages before the massive changes roll out.
