Xbox One X Stock Crisis - How Microsoft Plans To Replenish Supplies Quickly To Meet Demand

The Xbox One X, the "most powerful console on the market," will be releasing soon and though it was obvious there were many excited for the new console - apparently the excitement was more than what Microsoft anticipated. Because of this, stock quickly ran out and the number of units needed was drastically underestimated. Luckily, the Xbox team has a plan for how to tackle this issue.

In a recent interview, Xbox Games Marketing General Manager Aaron Greenberg sat down to talk about the current status of pre-orders and what the game plan is for the future.

According to Greenberg, the beast of a console continues to sell out much faster than anticipated and that the pattern is on pace to be completely sold out before launch. Because of this, and with the holiday season fast approaching, Greenberg advises those interested in the latest Xbox platform to pre-order in advance for a proper unit count. But that's a little obvious, right? Pre-order something that you know is in high demand? So what does he have to say to gamers that gives a little more insight for those wanting to get their hands on the Xbox One X?

Greenberg told Dualshockers that Microsoft is in a good place and that they are excited to see how gamers in general are responding to the enhanced games and new programs (like the original Xbox backwards compatibility) in place. Because of the rising spec wants of the market, the Xbox team feels the Xbox One X hits all of those "good spots" for what gamers are looking for without going the high PC route. As far as stock goes - he mentioned that retailers are presenting a pre-order cut off number so that those stores could potentially have X amount of units available at launch, and that gamers should reach out to those mass retailers for more information to avoid pre-ordering.

As of now, Microsoft is working hard to make sure that units are continuously being produced and pushed out to meet the high demand, and come November 7th gamers world-wide can "feel true power" with what the new system has to offer.

The Xbox One X will be available on November 7th for $499.99.
