Overwatch Getting Yet Another Free-To-Play Weekend

Over

Okay, so let’s say that you haven’t gone out and purchased Blizzard’s Overwatch yet. And let’s also say that you’ve missed out on the previous free-to-play weekends that the company has hosted, to give you an idea of what the game’s all about.

We’re not sure how you could’ve missed out on all that (maybe you were busy with other games, it’s understandable), but you’re going to get yet another chance to experience this multiplayer phenomenon for yourself, on the house.

Blizzard confirmed today that it will be hosting another free-to-play weekend for the game across the board, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It’ll start on November 17th at 11 AM PDT, and run through November 20th at 11:59 PM PDT. So technically, you have three and a half days to check it out.

The publisher noted that all 26 heroes will be playable over the course of the weekend, and all 16 maps will be available as well. It didn’t make note if Moira and Blizzard World would be included in this bunch, but considering how soon they’re coming to the game, we don’t see why they wouldn’t be. Besides, this is a great opportunity to introduce players to the new additions, yeah?

On top of that, all the modes will be playable in the game. This includes Quick Play, along with Custom Games and Arcade. And you’ll be able to attain loot boxes throughout, and all your progress and goods will carry over into the final game, should you pick it up over the course of the weekend. You just need to make sure that you’re logged into the same account you used with the free-to-play version, whether it’s Xbox Live, PlayStation Network or Battle.net.

This is yet another great chance to experience this phenomenon if you haven’t already, or you’re just getting yourself in the mood for snagging Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition as a Christmas present. Go on, you deserve to treat yourself.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing more free-to-play weekends coming up in 2018 as well. Never hurts to have them.

Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
