Battlefield 1 Spreading Good Cheer With Holiday Events, Starting Today

Okay, so maybe it's not the greatest Christmas tune, but DICE and EA are getting into the holiday spirit with a few timely giveaways in the popular military shooter, as announce over on the official Battlefield page.

Starting today and running through December 31st, players will be able to pick up a number of bonuses and goodies for their game. Here's the rundown of what you can get over the Battlefield 1 Holidays event, as it's being called:

First up, every Monday and Thursday for the month (including today!), you'll be able to pick up 250 bonus scraps whenever you log in to Battlefield 1. (It's a one-time hand-out, so don't be a greedy little Grinch.) You'll be able to use these to pick up items in the store, including Holiday Battlepacks, which unlock some exclusive goods for your soldier.

In addition, Tuesday will bring about a new Holiday Battlepack Mission that will bring your fighting skills to the forefront. Taking part will score you a Superior Battlepack.

You can also log in on Wednesdays and earn yourself a Standard Battlepack free of charge.

As for Fridays, DICE will be offering up special rewards, though it didn't detail exactly what they would be.

That leaves the weekends, and DICE didn't forget about these days. During every weekend in December, players can jump in and rank up faster during Battlefield 1 Holiday weekends with Saturday 2XP Events, and a Squad XP Boost for Sundays. So there's something every day of the week!

Finally, the company will save something special for Christmas, in the form of a Superior Battlepack. But you'll need to hurry. It's only being offered from December 25th through December 27th at 12 AM PDT.

This, on top of the Turning Tides DLC that will be dropping for premium players on December 11th, should keep Battlefield 1 players busy throughout the month. Now get in there and spread some Christmas cheer.

Battlefield 1 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Origin PC.
