How To Get The Red Dead Redemption 2 Revolver In Grand Theft Auto Online

Though we are still not-so-patiently waiting for the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, at least we can have a small taste of it within the world of Grand Theft Auto Online! Rockstar Games has just announced that the Double Action Revolver from the western game is now available for GTA, and here's what you need to know in order to get it.

According to the press release we received, players will get their first look at the gun's location in an in-game email. There will be a code issued and it's up to the players to decipher the code themselves in order to begin the hunt. Code in hand, players will need to complete a Headshot Challenge in the Freemode to receive a whopping $250,000 of GTA currency to unlock, and then wield like a badass, the Double Action Revolver that will be a huge star in the upcoming Red Dead title.

This will have to tide fans over for awhile since the Red Dead Redemption 2 release was originally slated for a Fall drop. It was then decided to delay the release to make sure that "we can deliver the best experience possible for fans." You can't fault that logic, and we'd definitely rather the team takes their time with it. The Red Dead franchise is a cherished one, we'd like to see it done right versus rushed.

For now, the next step in the Redemption franchise is slated for a Spring of 2018 window, though no further information has been released at this time. Rockstar are the kings of being able to keep a tight lid on their Intel, so at this point - it's a waiting game. Until then, Grand Theft Auto Online players can pass the time on the recently released Doomsday Heist DLC just released, which offers more than enough to keep gamers occupied.
