Super Mario Odyssey, the open adventure exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch, has gotten a lot of love since launch. Being hailed as a fantastic installment to an iconic franchise is great and all, but it turns out there is much more to this delightful game than many may realise.

YouTuber JalopesTL uploaded a video that shows off just how much attention to detail the creators put into this massive game. From the musical stylings all prosed with purpose, to the different ways the environments change to adapt to the player's actions ... everything about Super Mario Odyssey has enraptured our Nintendo hearts, and this latest video just goes to prove that it deserves every bit of the love it gets:

The content creator also added that he would love to hear other insight into any details he may have missed. According to his video description:

"A really neat thing in Odyssey that I decided to over-analyze for fun. Not gonna lie, I got WAY too excited when I first picked up on this. Such a small thing, but the fact that they programmed it to work with every tune in the game for many different sound effects is really nuts. I'd love to know how they went about implementing this, or if there are other sound effects in the game I missed that do it. If anyone has any insight or other ideas, feel free to share!"

It definitely has given another layer to think about, and makes me want to really jump right back in and finish collecting all of the moons! For those that haven't picked up the crazy new adventure centered around Mario and his pal Cappy:

"Use amazing new abilities—like the power to capture and control objects, animals, and enemies—to collect Power Moons so you can power up the Odyssey airship and save Princess Peach from Bowser's wedding plans!

Thanks to heroic, hat-shaped Cappy, Mario's got new moves that'll make you rethink his traditional run-and-jump gameplay—like cap jump, cap throw, and capture. Use captured cohorts such as enemies, objects, and animals to progress through the game and uncover loads of hidden collectibles. And if you feel like playing with a friend, just pass them a Joy-Con controller! Player 1 controls Mario while Player 2 controls Cappy. This sandbox-style 3D Mario adventure—the first since 1996's beloved Super Mario 64 and 2002's Nintendo GameCube classic Super Mario Sunshine—is packed with secrets and surprises, plus exciting new kingdoms to explore."
