Gaming weddings are nothing particularly new, I myself featured a huge Mass Effect center piece at mine, but one gaming legend took it to a completely appropriate level when he busted out gaming PCs immediately after the ceremony to get down on a few titles of his choice.

Tatsuya Haitani is legendary in the world of Street Fighter, often referred to as one of the five gods of the franchise. With a list of wins to his name, and multiple titles to be proud of, he can add one more achievement onto the rest: husband.

After the "I Dos," Haitani had several exhibits set up to play a few competitive rounds with some friendly rivals, with his new bride at his side of course. The event kicked off (you know, after THE event) with Haitani facing off against fellow Street Fighter, Naoto Sako, pro for a round of Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers, outside of Japan). It's a similar fighter, just more horror, less man bosoms.

Then he got down on some Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike against Shinya "Nuki" Ohnuki:

And last, but certainly not least, Haitani went head to head against Hajime "Tokido" Taniguchi, the Evo Champion for Street Fighter V:

All good natured fun and definitely one way to ring in a new life together in wedded fighter bliss. The celebration, both gaming and otherwise, continued on at a local arcade so that everyone could try their own hand at some good 'ol fashioned game-age in honor of the bride and groom. Too bad they didn't play Mortal Kombat at all, we're sure there is a joke about that somewhere ...

Thanks, Kotaku!
