Darkest Dungeon Is Now On The Nintendo eShop

Darkest Dungeon, a "gothic roguelike" turn-based RPG by Red Hook Studios, has officially arrived on Nintendo Switch and is available to purchase via the eShop. Originally released for PlayStation, PC and Xbox in 2016, the title deals with the psychological consequences of being an adventurer, with intriguing game play that strays from your everyday turn-based game. The concept of Darkest Dungeon is to take your everyday adventure story and explore the real consequences of being out in the wild, exploring uncharted places, negotiating with strangers, and staying healthy enough to keep going. The player gathers up a party and must lead them not only to victory, but real safety in an environment where the odds are always against them.

The game is packed with things to do and plenty of special features, including:

• The Affliction System – battle not only monsters, but stress! Contend with paranoia, masochism, fear, irrationality, and a host of gameplay-meaningful quirks!
• Striking hand-drawn gothic crowquill art style
• Innovative turn-based combat pits you against a host of diabolical monsters

• 16 (and counting!) playable hero classes, including Plague Doctor, Hellion, and even the Leper!

• Classic CRPG and roguelike features, including character permadeath, procedural dungeons, and incredible replay

Sprinkled with elements of horror, adventure and mystery, Darkest Dungeon features original art and plenty of terrifying enemies to creep a player out along the way. The bridge to Nintendo Switch presents the interesting option of play-on-the-go, perfect for long commutes and keeping eye strain at a low during extended play sessions.
