While Jon Favreau is no doubt celebrating the success of his latest directorial affair, The Jungle Book, which had a fantastic opening weekend, he's also looking to the future, and his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor, director, writer, producer is sitting in the last chair again for the Russo brothers' next two films, Avengers: Infinity War parts 1 and 2.

"I'm going to be executive producing the Avengers films with the Russo brothers, which I'm very excited about," Favreau told Digital Spy. "I talk to them about it all the time. I've worked both in front of and behind the camera with Marvel and I really love what they're doing now."

Favreau also said he'd seen Captain America: Civil War and "it's fantastic."

It's not too big a surprise that Favreau is coming back on as an executive producer, as he's had that role on Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Avengers, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. He'll also be returning as producer and director for The Jungle Book 2 after the first film's success with both critics and audiences. No word on whether Happy Hogan will make an appearance in Infinity War. Here's hoping he gets the Gauntlet and saves the day.
