Captain America: Civil War is a hit, both financially and creatively! Harkened by many as the best output from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the film promises to show viewers a plethora of super hero fight scenes along with definitive changes to Captain America, Iron Man, and the rest of the Avengers. Comicbook.com fan, "Civil Steve", believes that the New Avengers will spin out of Civil War, creating an entirely new team of heroes to protect the world in a different, albeit more dangerous, world. Before we go any further, warning that this article will go into spoilers regarding the recently released Marvel Blockbuster.

The New Avengers in the comics have had many different incarnations, the first being one that included newcomers Spider-Man, Wolverine, Spider-Woman, Luke Cage, and Sentry along with the Avengers' stalwarts: Captain America and Iron Man. The team changed over time, but especially following the events of Civil War in the Marvel Comics. The book, under scribe Brian Michael Bendis, revealed a team of Avengers firmly against the Superhero Registration Act, working in secret and outside of the law. Hunted by both villains and heroes alike, these New Avengers were made up of members such as Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Wolverine to name a few.

Obviously, some of these members won't be entering into the Marvel Cinematic Universe any time soon, especially Wolverine, but this isn't to say that the team won't be forming with what we have on the plate! Certainly, Spider-Man is going to be front and center when it comes to the MCU moving forward, with Civil War giving audiences an amazing introduction to the character and his world. With the world of Marvel now changed thanks to Civil War, the lines have been drawn and a team that still functions as outlaws is still firmly in place following the film. To be operating against the grain, only to unite with their comrades on the "Pro-Registration" side would make for a great catalyst in Infinity War.

It's a shame that it doesn't seem like Daredevil and his Netflix brethren will be entering into the Marvel Cinematic Universe any time soon, but if there was ever going to be a perfect place for them to, it would be Infinity War. Considering most of these folks work as vigilantes already, I doubt they'd be looking to sign up with Team Stark any time soon. It should be fairly interesting to see how the reverberations from the latest Captain America will affect the Netflix universe moving forward. Will the Defenders be hunted in their own series by the authorities on a much larger scale leading to a team of New Avengers?

Captain America: Civil War is a masterpiece of film making and a home run for the team behind the movie. While the cards are still up in the air as to how the Marvel Cinematic Universe moves forward, a new team of Avengers operating akin to a government sponsored one seems all but assured.
