Later this month, Marvel Studios is making its triumphant return to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con after graciously stepping aside in 2015 to allow little known, small-budget films like Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to get some much needed attention.

One of the highlights of Marvel Studios panel will surely be the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 presentation, which will feature appearances from its writer/director James Gunn and most (if not all) of the main cast.

And today, during a impromptu fan Q&A on Twitter, Gunn strongly hinted that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 footage will be shown during the Hall H presentation as well. However, for those of you not attending the event, you'll have to wait a long time until it's officially released online.

If you'll remember back in July 2013, during Comic-Con, Gunn showed up in Hall H with the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, a film that some people doubted would be as great as the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had been. What was truly remarkable about it, aside from the footage itself and the crowd's universal love it, was that Gunn put the trailer together after only ten days worth of filming.

Since filming on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has wrapped, I'm sure you can imagine just how amazing that footage will be.

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
