Let the magic begin! In less than two weeks, Doctor Strange will finally hit theaters, and the only people who are more excited for its premiere than fans is the cast itself. Actor such as Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton will star in the mystical superhero blockbuster, and they've been making promotional rounds for the film as of late. And, soon, Cumberbatch will take on a whole other kind of press junket when he hosts Saturday Night Live on November 5.

NBC recently confirmed the actor's involvement via Twitter. The network told fans to mark their calendars as Cumberbatch will host the acclaimed comedy show while Solange acts as the episode's musical guest. The British actor will kick off the fifth episode of Season 42. Other actors such as Margot Robbie, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Blunt, and Tom Hanks have already hosted episodes this season. Musical guests such as The Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga have also performed on Season 42 since its debut earlier this month.

This isn't the first late-night appearance Cumberbatch will do for Doctor Strange. The actor recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! to promote the show on the talk show circuit. Cumberbatch and Kimmel did a standard interview before a skit rolled out. The footage followed Kimmel as he tried to hire Doctor Strange to be a magician at a kid's birthday party. Needless to say, things got a bit weird after that.

If the skit does one thing, it shows off Doctor Strange's quick wit and magical touch. Critics also agree the character is one of Marvel's best as recent reviews of the film praise Doctor Strange for its stunning visuals and refreshing story. You can check out ComicBook.com's review of the movie here.
