Deadpool Co-Star Says There's More Fun To Come In The Sequel

As soon as Deadpool made his raunchy entrance into theaters, fans were already begging 20th Century Fox to green-light a sequel. The mutant's mouthy, wholly unapologetic film now stands as one of 2016's most successful entries, and the studio did grant the fans' wishes when they announced Deadpool 2 was on its way. However, a series of crew shake-ups on the sequel had fans feeling less-than-stoked about the project following director Tim Miller's leave.

There's no need to worry though. According to TJ Miller, the actor says there's only more fun to come in Deadpool 2.

During a recent chat with CinemaBlend, the Deadpool co-star took time to speak about the anticipated sequel. "I have been talking with Ryan Reynolds and the writers, and they're really excited about [Deadpool 2]," he said.

"I think, for me, I just want Weasel to wield a gun, at one point," Miller continued. "But there's more fun stuff coming."

This is not the first time that Miller has said he wants his comedic character to pack heat in Deadpool 2. Before the first film even hit theaters, the actor said he wanted Weasel to carry weaponry in the second movie.

Speaking with MTV, Miller explained, "Weasel does become a superhero named House, so he goes from one of the worst character names to the worst superhero character name. So, yeah - I could see something like that."

"All I want is in the next movie to be able to handle some guns. In this movie, I think Weasel was less interested in that than winning money."

In the comics, it is true that Weasel goes from being one of Wade Wilson's friends to a dishonorable scoundrel called The House. After relocating to Las Vegas, Weasel reappears and uses his familiarity with Deadpool to double-cross the mercenary for gambling money. Obviously, the two don't get along so well from that point forward, and their relationship ends in a bloody conflict that leaves Weasel dead.

It isn't likely fans will see Miller's character undergo that full transformation in Deadpool 2. The film will be jam-packed with storylines concerning Cable, so the film may wisely focus its screentime on the latter villain to keep fans interested.

Deadpool's Holiday Blu-ray package is now available and retails for $25.99. Deadpool 2 is expected to begin filming next year and is due out January 12, 2018.
