Everything Wrong With Deadpool

When it comes to CinemaSins, there are no boundaries. The Youtube channel is known for pointing out every possible flaw with a movie, and superheroes are not exempt from their coverage. As such, the channel went ahead and took Deadpool to task in their latest video. By the end, it looks like Deadpool might break the 100 sins tally, but the folks gift it with an impressive list of 90.

"Deadpool. Yeah, he kind of sins the movie himself, but that wasn't going to stop us from trying," CinemaSins wrote. "No we didn't get Ryan Reynolds to guest--we didn't even ask; we didn't want to do what other channels had already done (and done well). No hard feelings, Mr. Reynolds."

Of course, CinemaSins has a slew of complains about the Deadpool film, but they are not the only ones ready to call out the superhero flick. In fact, Ryan Reynolds recently dropped a public charge against the film in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. It was there that the star said one of his favorite jokes from Deadpool got cut, and the line may have made the CinemaSins guys more agreeable.

When asked if any of his favorite lines or jokes got cut, Reynolds had this to say. "Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) says something about our duplex we live in. I say, "This isn't a duplex — it's hepatitis holding still." That was one of my favorite lines, which is sorta slightly stolen from Funny Farm: "This ain't a bridge — it's termites holding hands." So I can't take credit for it," he explained.

The actor also went on to explain why he felt Deadpool was so successful. "It's important to note that in regards to Deadpool's narrative material, the film came along at exactly the right time when we (the industry) reached the peak of superhero (movies) and Deadpool was 90 degrees to it," he said. "There's been a lot of superhero films that have been brilliant, and there's a seriousness and darkness to them. At the end of the day, it's about guys walking around in tights. Deadpool took these tropes and usurped them in inventive ways."

Deadpool's Holiday Blu-ray package is now available and retails for $25.99. Deadpool 2 is expected to begin filming next year and is due out January 12, 2018.
