Here's How Many Fighting Styles Spider-Man Used In Captain America: Civil War
When it comes to the Marvel Universe, there are few heroes as well-known as Spider-Man. The [...]
Action Shooting
Thanks to Godzillarex, fans now have a list of possible fighting styles which Spider-Man has either studied or shown a proclivity for in the MCU. The first is none other than action shooting, and it is not because Peter Parker keeps himself loaded. The teenage hero gets marks for his marksmanship because of how precisely he uses his web shooters to disable or take down opponents.
Sorry, Winter Soldier.

There's no denying that Spider-Man is a nimble fellow. He is incredibly talented at making landings which cats would even balk at. And, of course, the web-slinging hero is also innately flexible. During Civil War, fans watch as Spider-Man weaves between rubble and performs mid-air acrobatics that leave his opponents disoriented. It's because of this that fans have applauded Spider-Man for his gymnastics abilities, so maybe the hero could train for the Olympics if saving the day ever got old.

Spider-Man may not look bulky, but don't let his lithe frame fool you. Peter Parker's spidey sense is great, but the radioactive powers also gave him insane super-strength. In Civil War, fans are shown just how robust Spider-Man is after Captain America attempts to drop a heavy cargo freight on top of him. Spider-Man easily holds the structure over his head as if he had dead-lifted the container, and even Steve Rogers looks a bit impressed by this display.

In Civil War, there is a blink-and-miss-it moment that highlights how Peter Parker even uses Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to take down his opponents. During a fight with the Falcon, Spider-Man can be seen using a hold to remove his opponent's grip on him. Falcon is forced to remove his trip hold on Spider-Man after the younger hero applies pressure to his neck and forces Falcon's head to the side. This move is often seen in Jiu-Jitsu matches, and the hold may just come in handy when Spider-Man faces off with another high-flying character, the Vulture.

The MCU's Spider-Man prefers to uses his legs in close combat rather than his fists. Given the hero's nimble nature, it is no surprise to see that Spider-Man prefers to catch punches and throw about kicks. Like his animated counterpart, Spider-Man shows off some of the finer points of Tae Kwon Do with his fancy roundabout kicks, and the MCU will only have more room to explore the distinctive style moving into the future.

Of course, no hero would be complete without a little bit of showboating. When it comes to Spider-Man, the hero is still a teenager who likes to show off when he can. By using moves like the drop kick, Spider-Man echoes the fighting style of professional wrestlers who merry fanfare with their aggressive moves, but it would be safe to say that even guys like The Rock would hesitate to chair Spider-Man.
