It's evident from the trailers that the members of the Guardians Of The Galaxy have gone through some changes since the first movie has come out.
Drax has gotten much funnier, Peter Quill is getting even more feelings, and Groot could fit in the pocket of his former self.
What else has happened since fans last saw their favorite band of heroes?
During a Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 set visit, Chris Pratt was asked about Star-Lord's growth in the time between the movies. How has the character evolved?
"Well, I mean, we're picking up a couple of months after the first movie so there was a certain evolution that happened with him in the first movie and it was important to all of us that we don't move backwards and all of a sudden start where he was at the beginning of the first movie and just tell that story over again. So, he definitely feels a responsibility, feels like he's a leader, but it's still a group of misfits. He still has to deal with Rocket, and he still has to deal with Drax and Gamora, and the way that it is. There's still a lot of fun to be had there. He certainly doesn't have a mastery on how to be a leader of this group. But I think he feels like the leader of this group at the beginning of this."
While fans may have seen Star Lord as the Guardians' leader from the get-go, it's clear that Quill didn't feel the same way. It's nice to see the guy is finally giving him the respect that everyone has been since 2014.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
