The excitement over X-23's film debut in Logan doesn't just reside with fans. People in the comics industry are also pumped to see the character make the jump to the big screen, including current All-New Wolverine scribe Tom Taylor.
Taylor has been amped to see the James Mangold-directed film for a few days now (which currently enjoys a 4.25 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings), and recently shared a post on Twitter that said I've been writing Laura for about two years in All-New Wolverine. Tomorrow, I get to see her pop her claws on the big screen. Snikt!"

Taylor has taken the character to some fantastic places during his run, navigating a torch passing that could have easily fallen on its face. Instead, Laura has truly embraced her legacy, and if Taylor's reaction to Logan is any indication, the character is going to have a legion of new fans after they see the film.

Taylor immediately tweeted after seeing the screening, saying "Just back from the advance screening of #Logan. Oh my god. Yes." He was so thrilled he tweeted about it again later, saying "Still buzzing after seeing #Logan. Laura fans. Can't wait for you to see it! Fortunately, I have a Wolverine script to pour my energy into."
When another fan expressed relief to Taylor's reaction to how Mangold handled X-23, Taylor tweeted "I think Laura fans will be impressed."

Logan takes place in the year 2029, where mutant births have become extremely rare. The defenders of mutant kind, the X-Men, are long gone, and the only remains of them are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a weary Logan. Logan's vaunted healing factor has slowed, and at times doesn't seem to work at all. When a young mutant needs his help, Logan has to unsheathe his claws once more. His job isn't over yet.
Logan stars Hugh Jackman (Logan), Boyd Holbrook (Donald Pierce), Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), Dafne Keen (Laura Kinney/X-23), Doris Morgado (Maria), Stephen Merchant (Caliban), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Gabriela), and Richard E. Grant (Dr. Zander Rice). James Mangold is directing and helped on the screenplay along with Scott Frank and Michael Green.
Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
