5 Obscure X-Men Teams Fox Should Consider for Film
Now that Logan has come to theaters, fans are wondering what's next for the X-Men movies [...]
Forge's X-Factor
There have been several versions of X-Factor, and some of them are hardly obscure. They've included the original five X-Men, a government-backed version of the team and the X-Factor Investigations detective agency.
The more obscure version of the team was led by Forge, the mutant inventor who once ran with the X-Men. When Forge took over X-Factor, it became a team that included mutant reprobates like Mystique and creating a mutant Suicide Squad.
The team also included mainstay Polaris, Wild Child, a digital recreation fo Bishop's sister Shard, and handler Valerie Cooper. A movie based on this team could show the gritty side of mutants life.

The X-Statix originally debuted as a new version of X-Force, but soon became something else entirely.
X-Statix was a mutant team on a reality TV show. The members included such oddballs as U-Go Girl, Orphan, Anarchist, Dead Girl, and fan favorite Doop.
Writer Peter Milligan and artist Michael Allred used the idea of X-Statix to turn the book into a satire of popular culture and the superhero genre, which is exactly what an X-Statix movie could be like as well.
The series ended with the entire team dying, so that's a nice way of tying everything up and not having to worry about the lasting impact on the franchise as well.

Excalibur has always been the fun British cousin of the X-Men. Their adventures tend to be a bit more on the comedic side, and they tend to deal with the stranger, weirder, and more out there threats.
We're choosing the New Excalibur version of the team because the original Excalibur had too many core X-Men character to be "obscure," namely Kitty Nightcrawler and, later, Colossus.
The New Excalibur team, which formed after House of M, included Captain Britain, Peter Wisdom, Juggernaut, Nocturne, Sage, Dazzler, and later, Psylocke.
The team's exploits included visiting Camelot and battling an alternate reality version of Captain Britain. It's an X-Men team of a different stripe for sure.

What happens when you mix mutants with cyberpunk? You get X-Men 2099.
This team of X-Men was part of
In 2099, mutants are still feared and hated by the general populace. Professor X, his school, and his X-Men are gone, but his dream inspires a new generation.
The team was founded by Desert Ghost, a mutant who could create or destroy matter with either hand. His team consisted of Skullfire, an electricity manipulator, Meanstreak, a speedster, Metalhead, whose skin could assume the properties of any metal he came into contact with, the psychic Cerebra, the techno-organic Junkpile, the psyhic vampire called La Lunatica, and Krystalin, who could manipulate and shape crystals.

The
The Starjammers are a team of galactic rebels fighting against the galactic Shi'ar Empire. The team is led by Corsair, who is actually Christopher Summers, the father of X-Men Cyclops and Havok. While his children believed him to be dead, it turned out that he and his wife were kidnapped by the Shi'ar and made slaves. After his wife was killed, Corsair escaped and formed the Starjammers to seek revenge.
Despite the grim circumstances that led Corsair to the life of a space pirate, the Starjammers tend to be a fun-loving, adventuresome group, and who doesn't love a fun cosmic adventure movie?
