If Captain America: Civil War saw you side with Team Cap, then you will be pleased to hear the latest updates about Avengers: Infinity War. Marvel Studios kicked off work on the massive blockbuster earlier this year, and shooting has since flown over to Scotland. Heroes like Vision and Scarlet Witch have been seen cozying up to one another on-set so far, but they aren't the only ones dropping by Edinburgh. Fans recently learned that Captain America and the Falcon have also been spotted on the British isle.
Thanks to The Scottish Sun, fans learned that Chris Evans is now in Edinburgh to get his filming underway. The publication reported on Evans' first night abroad where he partied with some friends, and the actor was seen sporting a beard. Evans may have already shaven the facial hair off to get ready for Captain America's clean-cut image. That is, unless the first Avenger is using a beard as a disguise following his fallout with the Accords.
As for the Falcon's bit, Marvel Studios managed to keep Anthony Mackie and his work on-set a secret until now. Taking to Twitter earlier today, the actor posted a photo of him in Scotland after he wrapped his portion of filming abroad.
"What a time in the U.K.!" Mackie wrote. "Gonna miss those cold Scotland cigar nights."
With Falcon and Captain America both spotting in Scotland, it seems like the location may be one where fans reunite with Team Cap. Heroes such as Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and the Winter Soldier have not been seen filming - and there are no reports of actors like Jeremy Renner being on the ground.
Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos. Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel are filming back-to-back for a May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 release, respectively.
