Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are still reeling from this month's release of Spider-Man: Homecoming. And while Peter Parker (Tom Holland) was given a new suit in the solo film, he didn't get a chance to wear the suit from Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) out on the field. But apparently, that is all set to change with next year's Avengers: Infinity War.
During the Marvel Studios panel at this weekend's D23 Expo, brand new footage for Avengers: Infinity War was shown. In it, according to the description from ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis, Spidey is shown putting his suit to good use, while fighting the mad titan Thanos.
"Thanos warps into this new world. Star-Lord battles him. Strange battles him. Spider-man, in his new suit, battles him."
This shouldn't surprise some viewers, as Peter is shown donning the new suit in Homecoming's closing minutes. Nevertheless, it shows just how much of a significance Homecoming has had on the larger MCU, and gives fans an inkling of what to expect for the fan-favorite character in the upcoming epic film.
