Channing Tatum has long been attached to Fox's Gambit film, and the actor recently told ComicBook.com that the movie is currently in the works. Until we see first footage of Tatum's Gambit in action, however, there's a cool Gambit fan-film that you can watch above!
Directed by Jensen Noen and starring Nick Bateman as Gambit, the short, sweet, fan film contains some fun special effects work, as well as some impressive martial arts and bo staff skills from Bateman. The part that X-Men fans probably won't embrace, is seeing actor Krzysztof Soszynski in the role of what is supposed to be Daken, Wolverine's son.
The X-Men movie universe is in the process of expanding, with several planned spinoff films and sequels in the pipeline. Along with films like New Mutants, Deadpool 2, and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, there's been continuous talk of a solo movie for Gambit, the iconic Cajun X-Man with the destructive power to charge inanimate objects (most often playing cards) with kinetic energy.
