As you can see in the picture below, an Inhumans Snap Chat filter has been released, featuring the fan-favorite character of Lockjaw and a surfboard. You read that correctly.
So far, reviews of Inhumans have not been kind. Many viewers and critics echo the opinion that the show is simply a creative misfire from Marvel. That does not bode well for showrunner Scott Buck, as Inhumans is quickly becoming his second Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series to struggle; the first being Iron Fist, which mishandled its character so badly that he actually dragged down the rest of The Defenders miniseries.
As for marketing: this Snapchat filter will probably be cool for the small portion of fans that are both excited for Inhumans and super into Snapchat. Judging by weekend box office earnings, that's not a big circle...
Marvel's Inhumans is now playing in IMAX theaters. It will premiere on ABC on September 29th.
