Taika Waititi Reveals "Rejected" 'Thor: Ragnarok' Poster

Marvel Studios upped its poster game for Thor: Ragnarok, but the company's standards did get in the way of one DIY poster Taika Waitit drew up for his film. However, that doesn't mean the director is keeping the rejected to sketch all to himself.
Over on Twitter, Waititi shared a poster he drew up for Thor: Ragnarok that got "rejected." The image, which can be seen below, is a cute drawing no doubt - but fans can see why it got vetoed by Marvel Studios.

Of course, Waititi shared the poster as a joke, but fans are loving the Thor & Fraggle Rock crossover. The picture shows Kermit the Frog doing a convincing cosplay of Thor. The Muppet has even got his own Mjolnir which can cast down lightning. As for the poster's text, it clearly reads, "Thor: Fraggle-Rock."
And, yes - Marvel fans are now saying they'd love to see such a film actually happen.
If you are not familiar with Fraggle Rock, then you need to brush up on your Muppets history. Fraggle Rock was a TV show first released in 1983 which spun-out of The Muppet Show. The series, which was created by Jim Henson, followed a group of Muppet creatures as they lived amongst each other in the cavernous village of Fraggle Rock.
Muppet fans are happy to see Thor embrace his froggy self, but Marvel fans know there's precedence for the beastly cosplay. Thor was once turned into a frog in the Marvel Universe, and there's a canonical hero know as Throg, the Frog of Thunder. The latter hero was once a man named Simon Walterson, but he was cursed to become a frog after dealing with a wicked mystic. Given the name Puddlegulp, Simon realized he was named by Thor's frog-self. Thor had to return to Asgard, but Simon was left with a piece of the god's hammer to protect himself with. When Simon used the mighty weapon, he was transformed and given the power of Thor. So, obviously, the hero took up the name Throg.
Fans should not expect to see Throg in Thor: Ragnarok, but Waititi's poster shows the director is likely aware of the hero's amphibian side. So, if Marvel Studios ever wants to start an Animal Planet special, they know which Avenger to call upon.
