'The Gifted' Episode 2: "RX" Recap With Spoilers

Act II
Catilin has a cut on her head, but otherwise, everyone seems okay. They move Blink to a table. Blink has another attack and opens a portal to the same road. A man pulls a shotgun and points it through the portal. Lauren uses her powers to collapse the portal. They come up with a plan to take Caitlin to retrieve the medicine to help Blink and to leave Lauren behind to close any more portals that open up.
Turner and Reed have a discussion about Reed and his family's situation. Reed isn't intimidated and spars with him over the legal situation. Turner doesn't back down and neither does Reed, who demands a lawyer.
Eclipse drives with Caitlin towards their target. Caitlin makes clear that she expects Eclipse to honor his deal with Reed. Eclipse wonders if Caitlin would be standing up for Lauren and Andy if they weren't her kids.
Lorna continues to be harassed in prison. She notices another mutant with bright white skin. Lorna showers and black dye comes out of her hair, revealing her hair's true green color underneath.
Thunderbird tells Lauren and Andy about Blink. She used her powers to steal food because she can't pass for human and couldn't get a job. Blink has another attack and the portal to the road opens again, this team with police looking through. Lauren tries to close the portal but its taking longer. Thunderbird listens to the police using his heightened senses.
Eclipse and Caitlin arrive at a hospital crowded with mutant patients. They decide to use Eclipse's gunshot wound to get to the front of the line. They use the light coming out of the wounds to startle the nurses into action.

A doctor tends to Eclipse, stapling up his room. Caitlin and Eclipse make up a story about him falling off a ladder. The doctor pulls Caitlin aside. The doctor noticed the cuts on Caitlin's head and assumes that because she's dating a mutant there's a domestic violence situation at hand. Once the doctor leaves her, Caitlin grabs some dirty scrubs and goe son the search.
Thunderbird argues with Dreamer about whether they should prepare to evacuate or move Blink away from the hideout. For now, Thunderbird chooses to wait for Eclipse and Caitlin.
Turner has filed charges of terrorism against Reed. They know he used Polaris' file to contact the mutant underground. Turner mentions that there is a desire to classify this group as a terrorist organization like the Brotherhood of Mutants or the Mutant Liberation Front. Reed defends the mutant underground, but Turner turns his attempts to prosecute Polaris against him. Turner then reveals that he lost his daughter, Grace, during the "July 15th" incident. He says he'll never know if the blast of energy that killed his kid came from a good mutant or a bad mutant and he doesn't care.
Polaris sits with the pale mutant she saw in the cafeteria. She wants them to help each other. The other mutant is not impressed and doesn't want trouble. She tells Polaris to stay away from her.

Caitlin sneaks around the hospital and mages to get into a medicine cabinet. She packs a bag with the medicine they need. She sees the doctor talking to the police. She finds Eclipse and tells him its time to go. The police see them and give chase. One cop slips on some soap. After they get outside, Eclipse uses his power to heat up the door so the officers can't follow.
In the prison yard, a woman tells Polaris that mutants in the prison work for her. She tries to bully Polaris, but Polaris isn't impressed. She tries to walk away, but one of the woman's henchmen jumps her. The woman kicks Polaris in the stomach after noting that Polaris is pregnant. Polaris fights through the pain from the collar to use her powers to toss a table at the woman. The other pile on her. Polaris is put in solitary confinement.
Blink is getting worse. She opens another portal. Lauren tries to shut it down but she can't hold it closed. A SWAT team officer walks through the portal. Thunderbird uses his mutant strength to take him out and toss him back through the portal. Andy uses his power to knock down the SWAT team members but also knocks over the other mutants and tips the table with Blink on it. Blink hits her head and goes near unconscious. Several portals open at the same time.

Turner shows Reed that they've brought his mother in for questioning.
On the way back to the hideout, Caitlin expresses how surprised she is by what mutants are going through despite supposed mutant rights laws. Eclipse remembers his parents kicked him out when he was 13 when his powers first manifested. Lorna saved him from that. Eclipse seems impressed that Caitlin hasn't disowned her own children.
They return to find the portals causing chaos and the mutants trying to evacuate the bank. Eclipse volunteers to go inside, but its Caitlin who braves the chaos to go inside and give Blink the medicine she needs.

Caitlin finds Thunderbird still inside with Blink. The room is in ruins, but Caitlin uses one of Blink's portals to get to her. Caitlin injects her with the medicine to try to stabilize her. The portals slow and the stop and Blink's condition improves.
Blink wakes up with an IV in her arm. Thunderbird asks if she knows why she kept opening a portal to that same road. She says she doesn't remember. Thunderbird tells her to rest and that they'll talk about it later.
Caitlin tells her children that she's proud of them and that they're going to find Reed. She says they're going to fight for Reed and for everyone else who has been fighting this fight.
Turner tries to talk to Reed again, but Reed remains confident, having sat on Turner's side of the table. He's convinced that if Turner was going to actually follow through on these threats he would have done so already. He thinks Turner is desperate to salvage a terrible operation gone wrong. Reed stipulates the terms of their deal: he gives them the underground, and Reed's family goes free.
Roderick Campbell asks one of his lab assistants to look up information on mutant siblings. He brings up a newspaper article about an incident of mutant terrorism in Rio De Janeiro in May 1962 committed by a brother and sister team. He then asks for the name of the head agent on the Strucker case.
