Over the weekend, the stars and creators of the Marvel Cinematic Universe gathered for a kind of family reunion photo shoot as the series of films prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Chadwick Boseman, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Black Panther, was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and host Jimmy Kimmel brought out a photo of Boseman with Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Anthony Mackie, and Laurence Fishburne that Jackson had shared from the event.

Kimmel tried to get some answers about the nature of the event that made the photo possible, but Boseman was guarded.

"We were hanging out," Boseman told Kimmel. "I can't really say where we were at."

Kimmel pressed and tried to find out if it was possibly on a Marvel Studios movie set.

"It was not a set, but it was a Marvel thing," Boseman said. "You know this always gets me in trouble... Somebody already messed up a little bit, and I saw what happened to them."

Boseman did at least own up to the fact that it was his idea to take the group photo with the others.

"I am not ashamed to say because usually, I'm the one to say, 'Okay, I'm not going to take it,' it was my idea," Boseman admitted. "Because I see Cheadle and Mackie a lot, but its very rare that you have Sam Jackson and Fishburne in the same place, so I was like, 'We got to take this picture.'"

After nervously dancing around the fact that Fishburne will be in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp movie, which has been made public, Kimmel asked Boseman if the photo may have something to do with the post-credits scene for an upcoming movie like Thor: Ragnarok.

"No, that's too many black people at once," Boseman joked. "You got to wait for Black Panther for that to happen."
