Though the time-traveling mutant mercenary known as Cable will make his big-screen debut in Deadpool 2, the character is set to play an even bigger role in X-Force.

Actor Josh Brolin, who has signed up for four movies as Cable in the X-Men movie franchise, is starting to tease more details about his team up film and even hinted when the production will begin.

"I think we're not trying to hide the fact that this is the beginning of Cable and absolutely not the end," said Brolin in a discussion with Collider. "I think when you're sensitive about how you appreciate it. When you're sensitive about how you reveal this character there's a sense of mystery in it, so then when we finally get into X-Force that you're going to be with this guy full blown all the time. There's a lot to be revealed."

Brolin stressed that there is a four-film plan for Cable in these movies, and that the character will be true to his comics counterpart.

When asked about when X-Force will start filming, Brolin offered up a possible timeframe.

"Yeah, I think it's sometime next year or soon thereafter," Brolin said. "It might even be … It depends. It all depends. It depends on how Deadpool does, but I don't think that's a make or break kind of deal. Drew Goddard is already involved in it. He's into it now."

Speaking of Goddard's involvement, Brolin said the director is already meeting with the cast and planning out the film.

"I know he and Ryan [Reynolds] were meeting. I've met him once, and so this is all kind of going ahead," Brolin said. "How it goes ahead, I know that we're preparing or they're preparing, and I know that it's something that I'm set to do. When it happens they're going to put together is such a big . . . I think Drew Goddard is going his movie right now and then once he's kind of wrapped up with that and this movie comes out I think we'll be ready to start the other one."

Goddard's next film, Bad Times at the El Royale, is expected to start filming in January with Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Bridges playing key roles.

Once that movie is wrapped and the Deadpool sequel is out, fans should expect cameras to begin rolling on X-Force.
