ABC and Marvel Television have released a sneak peek at next week's episode of Agents of SHIELD, "The Last Day."

SHIELD's trip to the future seems to be coming to a head. The team reunites on what's left of Earth's surface. They're joined by Robin Hinton, the girl with prophetic visions. Now an older woman, Hinton may be the key to SHIELD's return home.

But can SHIELD change time? Fitz doesn't seem to think so. Either way, Hinton warns that this will be the day that it all ends.

Check out the preview above.

Hinton has orchestrated everything that's happened to SHIELD since returning from the Framework. It was Hinton who sent Enoch to capture SHIELD and send them through the monolith into the future. It was Hinton who told Enoch to leave Fitz behind. It was Hinton who later told Enoch to help Fitz reach his friends in the future. Could she now be responsible for saving the Earth from destruction?

If nothing else, Hinton should be able to fill SHIELD in on the truth about what destroyed Earth. Deke claims it was Quake who shattered the planet. The Kree believe that story as well. But why? Could she have been trying to stop the invasion of Earth by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War?

Then again, it could have to do with gravitonium. Fitz found a stash of the rare element on the Lighthouse. Ian Quinn discovered the first mass of it in Agents of SHIELD's first season. Franklin Hall fell into the mass before Coulson sent it to the Fridge for storage. Quinn and Raina later took the mass and it was never seen again. Could Hall have finally emerged as Graviton and destroyed the Earth with his new powers?

There's still plenty of Agents of SHIELD Season Five to go, but ABC is already optimistic about a renewal. ABC head Channing Dungey spoke about the show's future at the winter TCA press tour.

"The creative this season, I honestly think, has been the strongest its ever been," Dungey said. "We've been really excited about what the producers have been talking about for the second half of the season. I'm really looking forward to hearing them come in and talk about what their ideas would be for season 6, so we can make a better determination about whether we're going to order another season or not."

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
