It was only yesterday when we found out that Deadpool 2 wouldn't be one of the movies that aired a trailer in one of the coveted commercial spots during Super Bowl 52.
That's not stopping the marketing team at Fox from doing what they can to market the second solo movie to feature the Merc with a Mouth.
Taking to Twitter as the pre-game festivities started kicking off, @DeadpoolMovie — Fox's official Twitter account for the flick — started live-tweeting the events of the game.
Remember that time I was wrist-deep in cocoa butter and Fox called to say they were too cheap to buy a spot in the big game then told me I had to live tweet it? Cause I do... #DPtheSB #SBLII https://t.co/YGlQ6DZhbU

In classic Deadpool fashion, the Twitter account poked fun at the budget of their own movie studio. In all fairness, the account has a point.
The big game is arguably the biggest place to purchase television advertising all year, with thirty-second spots selling for over $5 million. According to Ad Age, over $419 million in ads were sold for this year's NFL championship game alone.
The account then went to comment on the game's coin toss — even including a customized coin featuring Wade Wilson.

The account continues live tweeting the game, so be sure to follow the account to stay up-to-date on all of the Deadpool hijinks.
Deadpool 2 is slated for release on May 18.
