Fate of the Furious continues to set a blazing pace at the box office, but there are those who might not want to see the latest film because they aren't quite caught up with the other seven installments. If that's the case for you, then Fate and franchise star Ludacris has just the information you need.
Ludacris walks fans through the entire franchise timeline in a new video for Vanity Fair. From the franchise's humble beginnings to the box office monster that was Furious 7, Luda covers every car chase, character debut, and backstab, leading all the way up to the current eighth installment. With so many characters along the way, this is a great primer even for longtime fans, who might not remember everyone that's popped up on screen.
Fate has been a monster for Universal, tallying up a domestic total of over $107 million thus far, with a worldwide total of over $544 million. The film is pulling ahead of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, and it will be interesting to see if Star Wars: The Last Jedi will reclaim the title once it bows later this year. At this rate, that could be a much closer battle than most anticipated.
You can watch the full video above. Fate of the Furious currently has a 75.38 on ComicBook.com's composite rankings, and you can view the official synopsis below.
