First Look At Hotel Transylvania Short Puppy!

Sony Pictures Animation (via THR) has released the first poster for Puppy!

The new animated short is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky and based on its Hotel Transylvania franchise. It stars Dennis Loughran (voiced by Asher Blinkoff), Mavis and Johnny's adorable half-human, half-vampire son.

When we saw him last in Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015), which grossed more than $470 million in theaters worldwide, Dennis's fangs finally grew in and so did the rest of his vampire abilities. As for what he'll be up to in Puppy!, its synopsis reads: "The residents of Hotel Transylvania find their world turned upside-down when youngster Dennis gets a surprise monster-sized pet!"

Puppy! will make its debut in front of The Emoji Movie, which opens on July 28.

The Hotel Transylvania sequel reunites 'Drac's Pack' of loveable characters, led by "Vampa" Drac (Adam Sandler, Grown-Ups) as they try to put Mavis (Selena Gomez) and Johnny's (Andy Samberg) son Dennis through a "monster-in-training" boot camp to bring out his vampire side. But little do they know that Drac's grumpy and very old, old, old school dad Vlad (comedy legend Mel Brooks) is about to pay the family a visit to the hotel. And when Vlad finds out that his great-grandson is not a pure blood and humans are now welcome at Hotel Transylvania, it doesn't take long for things to get batty!

The record-breaking film, which scored the best September opening of all-time previously held by the original Hotel Transylvania and was the #1 family film internationally for eight consecutive weeks, also features Kevin James, David Spade, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Molly Shannon and Fran Drescher. HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2 marks the return of 3-time Primetime Emmy winning director Genndy Tartakovsky, along with producer Michelle Murdocca. The screenplay is by Adam Sandler and Robert Smigel.

Hotel Transylvania 3 will hit theaters on September 22, 2018.
