Rusev Becomes New United States Champion

Rusev is once again the WWE United States Champion.

Taking on the high-flying Kalisto, the Bulgarian Brute made the masked daredevil tap out with a varied version of his submission maneuver, the Accolade. This is Rusev's second time with the title, having lost it last year at WrestleMania to John Cena. As the League of Nations fell, Rusev branched out on his own and went to reclaim the United States title.

Rusev, reunited with Lana, is seeking to regain the momentum he had the first half of last year as an unbeatable monster heel that few can withstand.

Surely Kalisto will get his rematch in due time, but, for the time being, Rusev is holding the gold.
