Happy Birthday! Colton Haynes Turns 28 Years Old

You'd never guess it by looking at him, but Colton Haynes is turning 28 today. Let's all wish him a happy birthday, and just maybe, he might tell us all his secret for looking so young.

Born on July 13th 1988, Colton was raised by his parents Dana and William in Andale, Kansas. He's got five siblings, and his family often moved as Colton has previously described his parents as free-spirited. Colton has lived all across the U.S. in Arkansas, New Mexico, Texas, and Florida. But it was in New York that Colton first started his career as a male model for Abercrombie & Fitch.

Colton's film career began in 2007 with an uncredited appearance in Transformers, and then the actor went on to star in CSI: Miami and Pushing Daises. However, Colton became a household name amongst teenagers when he was cast as Jackson Whittemore in MTV's remake of Teen Wolf. The actor announced he would be leaving the show back in October 2012 to fans' confusion.

The actor is also well-known for starring in CW's Arrow as Roy Harper/Arsenal. Colton was upgraded to a series regular on the show's second season before he exited from Arrow at the end of season three.

Most recently, Colton has been featured in the news following an interview with Entertainment Weekly wherein the actor came out as gay in May 2016. Following an incident on Tumblr which led fans to speculate about his sexuality, Colton said the media frenzy which followed his slip was shocking. "I should have made a comment or a statement, but I just wasn't ready. I didn't feel like I owed anyone anything. I think in due time, everyone has to make those decisions when they're ready, and I wasn't yet." However, Colton said he's now come to terms with himself and feels ready tackle Hollywood (and life!) head-on.

He ended the interview by saying, "It took me so long to get to this point, but I'm doing so good. I'm happier than I've ever been, and healthier than I've ever been, and that's what I care about."
