NBC should probably stop using underwater cameras for the women's water polo matches. During the women's match between the United States and Spain, one player was shown pulling down another's swimsuit on live television. While NBC usually uses a time-shifted broadcast of the Olympic sports, they accidentally aired the "wardrobe malfunction" live which resulted in bare breasts and nipple exposed. However, this wasn't the first time this has happened.

This kind of thing is commonplace in water polo, as it is a tough and physical sport. Underhanded tricks such as grabbing, punching, and pretty much everything except biting are legal. So it does not come as much of a surprise that one player pulled down the swimsuit of another. However, the underwater cameras caught all of it, and broadcast the shot on live tv.

Back in the 2012 London Olympics, another momentary mishap caused a social media uproar. Many took to Twitter to seek confirmation for what they thought they saw, and they did indeed get a NSFW glimpse of bare breast during the live coverage of the event, just as has happened once again. One of the most popular tweets at the time regarding the incident stated, "I didn't know water polo was so erotic," according to SFGate.

One commenter wrote, "I'm actually surprised we haven't had any televised dong shots during men's matches; I played it a bit in high school and crotch-grabbing is a common way of playing defense.

In light of the fact that pulling down swimsuits is legal in the sport, NBC may want to rethink whether they want to broadcast the sport live using the underwater cameras.
