The Fast & Furious Facebook page has released a statement thanking everyone involved in the production of Fast 8. The statement was accompanied by a photo of most of the principal cast members.
"For our final #FastFridays post, all of us in the Fast Family wanted to thank you for coming on the ride with us during this epic production," the post reads. "We began in Cuba, visited Iceland, New York and Atlanta, and as we head into our final few days of shooting, we wanted to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to those who have worked so hard over the past 100 days to bring you a movie that is going to be another incredible installment of our saga. Everything we do comes from our shared passion to bring you the very best."
The photo, which was clearly taken at the same time as the photo released by Vin Diesel in June, features (from left to right) stars Jason Statham, Kristofer Hivju, Kurt Russell, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Scott Eastwood, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Not pictured in the photo are fellow cast members Lucas Black, Elsa Pataky, and Helen Mirren. Eva Mendes is also rumored to appear in the film.
In addition to many thanks given to the stars of the film, the statement also mentions that December will bring the “first look” at the new film, perhaps teasing a trailer arriving just in time for the holidays.
Fast 8 is directed by F. Gary Gray, from a script by Chris Morgan.
