Walt Disney World Announces New Holiday Nighttime Spectacular

Nine months ago, Disney Parks ended its long-running, popular holiday light show, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights.

Today, Disney Parks announced a new Holiday Nighttime Spectacular that will replace the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights' and offered a first look at the new show.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the new show is titled Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! The show will feature fireworks and other special effects, including snow and projections of Disney characters across the façade of the park's Chinese theater.

Characters featured as part of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! include Jack Skellington from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, the elves Wayne and Lanny from Prep & Landing, and other characters from Bambi, Mickey's Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast, and Pluto's Christmas Tree.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will tell the story of how these characters come together and go on an adventure to make sure that Santa Claus is able to safely return to the North Pole after making his trip around the globe on Christmas Eve.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will feature a score that puts a twist on classic Christmas songs, and will conclude with a message from Santa Claus himself.

Holiday parties will take place in the Chinese Theater's courtyard one-hour prior to the start of each Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Show. The parties will include holiday snacks, desserts, and specialty drinks.

During the Holidays, a giant Christmas tree will be placed near the main entrance to the park. Visitors will also be able to find Santa Claus at the Once Upon a Time shop on Sunset Boulevard.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will run shows nightly from Nov. 14 through Dec. 31, 2016. Check out preview photos from the show in the gallery below.
