After twelve long years, Goldberg returned to Monday Night Raw to answer the call of Brock Lesnar's challenge for one more match.

The feud between the two started all the way back in 2004, when Goldberg cost Lesnar his WWE title against Eddie Guerrero at No Way Out. They eventually tangled up in a match at WrestleMania XX, and despite it being one of the most hyped matches of all time, there was extremely little pay off. Both men were on their way out of the company with Goldberg's contract up and Lesnar leaving for the NFL, neither men brought any offense and the crowd soon turned on both performers.

Tonight on Raw, the former World Champion once again turned his attention to Brock Lesnar about the opportunity to face off against him one more time.

It started two weeks ago on ESPN where Goldberg was asked who he wanted to work with should he return, and Goldberg said that if he would return that a match against Lesnar would be "the match". Last week on Raw, Paul Heyman told Goldberg that Lesnar would accept a match should he want it.

As he entered the ring, the fans erupted with his chant and it was obvious the former world champion was a bit emotional to be back in the WWE.

"It's been a long time, and you didn't forget!"

Taking the microphone from Michael Cole, Goldberg addressed the crowd. "I never thought I would be in this ring again, so thank you for this humble return. What makes this so special is that my wife and my son are here tonight to see my live for the first time ever!"

Goldberg explained that back in January he got the call from 2K and WWE to promote WWE 2K17 and said that he missed being a real life superhero for the kids around the world. "I can go to Germany and Toronto and I can shake their hands and see in their eyes that I was Goldberg. It gave me the opportunity to be a superhero again, but along the way I created some drama back here in the WWE. It made me think long and hard and I think that maybe it's better left alone, maybe I keep it in the video game."

The crowd immediately chanted no as loudly as they could.

"But then, Brock Lesnar challenged me to a fight and didn't have the balls to challenge me himself," he said enthusiastically. "So it got me thinking. What would you do? So maybe I've got one more ass kicking left in me!"

He then turned his attention to Lesnar to accept his challenge. "What this means, Brock Lesnar is that you're next!"

No date has been set for this match up, but be rest assured, they will give it their all this time around.
