EA continues to make progress on various Star Wars games, and that includes the developers at DICE working on the Star Wars Battlefront franchise. During the EA earnings call today, they confirmed that they're working on more.

The first Star Wars Battlefront from EA and Disney has shipped more than 14 million copies since November 2015. The sequel announced officially today was hinted at before, but now announced for 2017, most likely somewhere in the latter half of the year.

The plan, according to EA CFO Blake Jorgensen is to have "one Star Wars title a year for the next three or four years," though this year will only be a Battlefront PlayStation VR expansion and the previously announced four expansion packs (three of which have been named).

While Star Wars Battlefront dealt exclusively in the timeframe of the original trilogy, the next iteration will include elements from the new sequel trilogy, as well as the "Star Wars Story" films like Rogue One, Jorgensen announced. They did not, however, cover whether the game will include a single-player campaign, something most reviewers and fans lamented was missing from the current offering, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega.

The untitled Star Wars third-person action game from Visceral Games and Motive has a planned release of 2018. Respawn Entertainment is also making a third-person action/adventure game set in the Star Wars universe, as recently announced.
