When it comes to secrecy, Lucasfilm is in a league of its own. The studio is in charge of one of the most popular franchises in history, and it keeps a tight reign over all things Star Wars. With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story set to hit theaters in the coming weeks, fans have been wondering whether a trailer for Star Wars: Episode VIII would drop in tandem. The likelihood of such a release is fairly small, but one Youtuber is saying he might have cracked part of Episode VIII's iron-clad defenses. If Mark Zeroh is right, then he's managed to learn one of Luke Skywalker's lines from the trailer for Episode VIII.

In a recent video, Zeroh discusses the long-awaited Episode VIII trailer and drops his purported scoop for fans to hear. The Youtuber said he's gathered from several sources that the Episode VIII trailer has been cut and that Luke Skywalker says the following in it: "You contain the spark that will rekindle the fire."

Of course, Zeroh makes it clear his research has no official backing or confirmation. The Youtuber has simply heard the phrase from enough sources to make it worth sharing. It's not like Zeroh managed to steal Lucasfilm's plans for the trailer; No, the Youtuber will leave that kind of Rebellion to Jyn Erso or Poe.

Whether the reported line is accurate or not, it does sound like something out of the Star Wars canon. The statement is simple, straightforward, and deceptively light. If there are some of the first words fans will hear Luke Skywalker utter in the new trilogy, then they will probably be filled with joy (and maybe the Force).

While fans may be in the dark about Luke Skywalker and his dialogue in Episode VIII, they do know a bit about how the Jedi will look. Earlier this month, MakingStarWars.net reported that Luke will ditch his white robes from Episode VII for a darker aesthetic. The hero is said to wear an outfit reminiscent of Return of the Jedi even. ComicBook.com's Lucas Siegel has speculated the change in attire might signal a shift in Luke's relationship towards Rey.

"All dark shades of grey, it [Luke's outfit] may once again be an oblique metaphor for where Luke Skywalker is in his personal journey with the Force and the Jedi Order he tried to reform," Siegel explained. Since Rey encountered Luke for the first while he wore a pristine white robe, the meeting was seen as hopeful - predestined even. By the time Episode VIII comes around, Rey is now a student under Luke, and he will no doubt train her as hard as Yoda did onto him. We'll have to wait and see if there are any swamps for the heroine to work in though.

Star Wars: Episode VIII, directed by Rian Johnson, continues the story of the "Skywalker Saga," and the ongoing tale of Rey, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron, Finn, as well as the legacy characters from the original trilogy.
