The world premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opened last night to both exciting and positive reactions from fans and critics alike.
The official red carpet event was streamed live for fans around the world to watch as their favorite stars arrived and talked about the film.
Screams of excitement were heard loud and clear when Mads Mikkelson, Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna and the rest of the cast of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrived with big smiles on their faces.
In an live interview with Variety at the Rogue One Red Carpet Event, Disney CEO Bob Iger stopped for a few moments to discuss the future of Star Wars fims.
"We have another standalone Star Wars Story [besides Han Solo] that's in development and I don't have more specifics to share with the world right now, but I can guarantee there will be more Star Wars films."
For Star Wars fans, old and new, this sounds like a dream come true! Especially more standalone films that will allow audiences to travel deeper into the galactic mythos of our favorite Star Wars characters.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16, 2016.
