Now that the production of the second Star Wars standalone film - Han Solo - has begun, the cast is continuing to grow. Woody Harrelson was recently tapped to play a mentor-type role to Young Han Solo, and it has just been revealed that another performer may be joining the ranks.
According to a report from Variety, Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge is being eyed to play an important role in the film.
The report states that the role will use mainly CGI - much like Maz Kanata and K-2SO in the previous films.
Fleabag - an Amazon original series - was also written by Waller-Bridge. Before the show became a success, she worked on Crashing, Broadchurch, and The Iron Lady.
The actress would join a star-studded cast, working alongside the likes of Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, and Aiden Ehrenreich, as well as Woody Harrelson.
Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is filming now under directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller for a 2018 release (no specific date has been officially announced). Alden Ehrenreich stars as a young Han Solo in the era before Star Wars: A New Hope, before he met Leia and Luke and embarked on a galaxy-saving adventure. Donald Glover also stars as Lando Calrissian, with Woody Harrelson and Emilia Clarke in as-yet-unrevealed co-starring roles.
