Star Wars: The Last Jedi is just under two months from hitting theaters and fans have so many questions as they wait to see Luke Skywalker grace the screen in a major way for the first time in decades. However, an official piece of merchandise for the upcoming film may have just leaked a spoiler about the Jedi Master.
The Alamo Drafthouse has exclusive Mondo pint glasses that fans can purchase along with their Star Wars: The Last Jedi tickets. While there is a Dark Side glass which features Kylo Ren, some Stormtroopers, Captain Phasma and Mark Hamill's Luke it's the Light Side glass that is far more interesting. Why? Well, it has a little something to do with his lightsaber. Check out the photo below.
In the photo (via Imgur) Luke is very clearly wielding his original blue lightsaber, ready for action. We've seen Rey using Luke's blue lightsaber in trailers as part of her training which begs the question why is Luke using it on this glass? It's possible that he's using it as part of his training of Rey, but it also could indicate that Luke is taking the lightsaber back.
Of course, Luke using a lightsaber itself isn't that much of a surprise considering he's Luke Skywalker and this is a Star Wars film. The real curiosity is that it's the blue saber and not the green one. And, perhaps more than that, is who is this Light Side Luke arming himself against? With Rey having been seen using the blue lightsaber in trailers for the upcoming film, could this image of Luke wielding it indicate that maybe Rey has gone to the Dark Side?
It's also possible that it's just be art on a pint glass, but fans will find out for certain if Luke's taking up the blue lightsaber again when Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters on December 15th.
