The Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere Date Has Not Been Announced

Throughout the day, many fans and websites have been buzzing with claims that The Walking Dead has officially announced its season 7 premiere date to be October 9, 2016.

AMC has, however, told ComicBook.com that the premiere date has not yet been announced. October 9 is still a sensible guess but it is too soon to call it official.

Typically, The Walking Dead's premiere date aligns with New York Comic Con. Following the news that Comic Book Men had been renewed for a sixth season, a buzz that AMC revealed the October 9 date gained some traction based on NYCC's dates which are October 6-9.

Last year, The Walking Dead premiered on October 11 and held a massive premiere event at Madison Square Garden. The announcement came at San Diego Comic Con in July.
