The Walking Dead #159 Cover Released

The Walking Dead comic book artist Charlie Adlard has released the first look at the third chapter of the impending Whisperer War ahead.

Adlard took to Twitter to unveil a look at the cover of The Walking Dead issue #159 which is part 3 (of 6) of what will be known as The Whisperer War story arc. By the look of it, Dwight is marching to be battle and Beta has yet to be killed, so all of those expecting Negan to turn around and kill Beta were off the mark.

All assumptions considered by this cover, it would be smart to keep in mind the typical deception incorporated with The Walking Dead's comic book covers. Most recently, Negan was seen on the cover of issue #156 holding Negan in what looked like a romantic new bond but ended up cutting her head off in the same issue, possibly beginning to align himself with Rick Grimes.

Also included is the cover of the Artist's Proof edition of The Walking Dead #100 which is infamously known as Negan's brutal introductory issue.

The Walking Dead #159 will hit shelves in October, the same month the undead drama will return to television on AMC.
