Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere follow.

The Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere has come and gone and the question of the year has been answered. In the biggest careful-what-you-wish-for instance, fans learned the mystery identity of Negan's kill in the first new hour of the show since April.

Not only did Negan kill Abraham after his vicious game of eeny-meeny-miny-moe landed on the soldier as "it," but after some intervening from Daryl Dixon in the aftermath of the kill, another Alexandrian survivor was taken from us. Glenn Rhee's comic book death was realized in full gory fashion moments later as Negan elected not to kill the last remaining Dixon brother.

The cast and crew of The Walking Dead are a tight knit family down in Senoia, Georgia. As a result, Norman Reedus was not excited to shoot the scenes and losing a couple of cast members to start production on the show's seventh season. In an exclusive interview with ComicBook.com, Reedus reacted to the deaths of Abraham and Glenn as seen in The Day Will Come When You Won't Be.

"It's hard, always, to say goodbye to people on the show," Reedus said. "Some characters it's harder to say goodbye to than others. Both of those characters are so important to the show and they're very well respected with the other actors and they're all good friends of ours. It's always hard but, when it's certain characters, it's really hard."

While Reedus and Abraham actor Michael Cudlitz have been working together for over three years now, it has been seven between Daryl and Glenn. With Glenn being a member of the Atlanta Five (Rick, Carl, Daryl, Carol, and Glenn), the goodbye must have been particularly difficult between Reedus and Steven Yeun.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
