The producers of AMC's hit show The Walking Dead went out of their way to protect the season 7 premiere and ended up filming several character death sequences just to throw people off.

The thing is, it also gave them some options in post production, just in case they decided to go a different route. Unfortunately, it was Abraham and Glenn who suffered Negan's wrath, but even knowing this information ahead of time didn't keep the other actors from wondering if it would end up being them.

That goes for Glenn's wife on the show, Maggie, played by Lauren Cohan. Cohan was on LIVE with Kelly alongside co-host Vince Vaughn to discuss the latest episode, and when exactly she learned who would be leaving the show.

"It was very touch and go. We had actually a, we filmed everybody's ending, demise, so there was honestly like some thoughts sometimes "well, if they change their mind they'll have it on tape," but no, we sort of knew like at the end of last season what was going to happen, and had time to make our farewells and begin to cope with it."

The footage of her death scene did make the rounds not too long ago, and other than Glenn or Darryl, Maggie's death would have hit the hardest (as everyone knew Rick wasn't the one who died). To throw salt on the wound, after hitting Glenn the first time, Negan then talks to Maggie, seeing her react to her husband's pain.

Now that Glenn and Abraham have left the show, the focus switches to Rick and the rest of the survivors at Alexandria attempting to deal with their new overseer, as well as Carol and Morgan's current storyline over in The Kingdom. As for Maggie, there is only one thing on her mind going forward.

"Negan gives Maggie vengeance, and I don't think that she's a vengeful person, but it's going to be a really interesting push and pull this season," Cohen told EW.com. "You'll see how she lives on in honor of Glenn and in vengeance of Negan, and it's a real war in her brain, and in protection of the baby. I really liked the fact that Glenn says, "I'll find you," because she takes him with her. It's difficult to even encapsulate the grief like that."

"A new group of survivors seem to have it all in their impressive community; however, there is a price."

Next up for The Walking Dead is "The Cell", which airs Sunday night on AMC.
