Lauren Cohan is an American-born British actress, who is best known for playing Maggie Greene on the AMC series The Walking Dead. The character has gone through quite a bit in the first half of season 7, losing her husband to Negan's brutality. When season 7 returns, you can expect her to see about making him pay for that.
Regarding that revenge, Cohan said "Negan gives Maggie vengeance, and I don’t think that she’s a vengeful person, but it’s going to be a really interesting push and pull this season. You’ll see how she lives on in honor of Glenn and in vengeance of Negan, and it’s a real war in her brain, and in protection of the baby. I really liked the fact that Glenn says, “I’ll find you,” because she takes him with her. It’s difficult to even encapsulate the grief like that."
In addition to The Walking Dead, Cohan is also known for playing Bela Talbot on Supernatural, Vivian Volkoff/McArthur on Chuck, and Rose on The Vampire Diaries. This year she appeared in horror thriller The Boy as well as Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where she played Bruce Wayne's mother Martha Wayne alongside Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Thomas Wayne). As a voice actress, Cohan voices the character of Juliana on Archer and has previously lent her vocal talents to the video game Destiny.
She will be reprising her role for rest of season 7 of The Walking Dead in 2017, and presumably season 8 as well. She also has a movie project already filmed called All Eyez On Me which should release later this year.
Lauren Cohan was born on January 7, 1982, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She turns 35 years old today.
