No one will argue against the fact that Glenn Rhee had the most brutal, horrific, and iconic death in the history of The Walking Dead. Negan marching into frame and using his Lucille-named baseball bat to bash the former pizza boys skull is burned into all of our memories, permanently.
It's something Glenn actor Steven Yeun will likely never live down.
The actor has been making rounds at the convention circuit over the year, so it's not clear when this picture was taken, but at one of the Walker Stalker conventions a fan provided eye-popping glasses and a Lucille bat. Yeun recreated the iconic Walking Dead death scene.
Over 17 million people tuned in to witness Glenn's death live in The Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere on October 23. Since, the show has seen a sharp drop in ratings, down to about 10.5 million, but remains the top show on cable.
Glenn's death was very accurately adapted to television from the pages of Robert Kirkman's comics. In issue #100, Negan makes his presence known by toying with the group until he elects to bash in Glenn's skull. By that point in the books, Abraham had already been dead, so it was only Glenn who had the honor of meeting Lucille.
