The Walking Dead returned last week with its midseason premiere, and the episode gave fans plenty to talk about. Daryl is now living at The Kingdom, Rick is ready for war, there's a new group entering the fold, and we were treated to one of the most epic zombie-killing sprees of all time.
It's always interesting to see how these epic scenes are brought to life, and the episode storyboards often give a little insight into how that process went.
When you check out storyboards from The Walking Dead, you start to notice that the producers to an excellent job of bringing their vision to life. More often than not, the scenes in the show end up looking exactly like the drawings they put to paper.
AMC has released some storyboard images from the midseason premiere, and it's obvious the creative team nailed their original ideas.
Take the drawings of highway zombie scene, for example. After watching the episode, you can see just how each of those frames went from nothing more than a picture, to a picture-perfect moving scene.
