Lionsgate and Anchor Bay Entertainment have revealed (via Yahoo) McFarlane Toys' limited edition The Walking Dead season 7 Blu-ray set, featuring a statue of Winslow, the spiky, metalhead Walker that engaged Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in trashy gladiatorial combat in season seven's tenth episode, "New Best Friends."

The Walking Dead Season 7 Limited Edition Spike Walker Statue with Soft Touch Digipak will be available exclusively to Amazon.com and releases in October. The set, which includes the complete seventh season housed in special five-disc digipak packaging, comes complete with an interactive Winslow bust. Remove one of the many spikes driven through Winslow's body, place it back in, and the gruesome sculpture unlocks access to the discs underneath.

The Walking Dead executive producer, director, and special effects artist Greg Nicotero, who designed the sharp Walker, told Yahoo that the unique corpse was like "an art installation."

"I started looking back to the scarecrows in Planet of the Apes, which had these big, long… they were really unique. They were big Xs that have this really haunting look. I thought it'd be really cool if we were to somehow mimic that with weapons and rebar and sawblades and nails and knives coming out," Nicotero said after Winslow's debut in February. "We went from there. We refined the design. The helmet is basically a gas tank from a motorcycle … it took us about a month to build him, only because it was something so special and so intricate … I love stuff like that. I love the fact that seven and half years in, we're able to come up with stuff that still feels iconic and memorable."

McFarlane Toys has released special edition busts to accompany the Blu-ray sets since season 2, recreating the head of the RV Walker that was ultimately put down with a screwdriver to the eye from Andrea (Laurie Holden). Collectors were able to own the Governor's (David Morrissey) Walker head fish tank for season 3, as well as an interactive Tree Walker for season 4. Another unique zombie, the "Asphalt Walker," accompanied season 5, with season 6 encased within a bloody, grizzly scene depicting the "Trucker Walker."

The Walking Dead season 7 will be released to stores everywhere on Blu-ray on August 22nd, with a lenticular cover exclusive to Best Buy and a steelbook exclusive to Target. The Walking Dead Season 7 Limited Edition Spike Walker set will be available exclusively through online retailer Amazon sometime in October.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC Sunday, October 22nd, with the season 8 premiere the series' 100th episode. Season 8 will see the Alexandria, Hilltop, and Kingdom communities come together and rise up against bat-wielding Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his oppressive extortionists, the Saviors.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, this gritty drama portrays life in the weeks and months following a zombie apocalypse. Led by police officer Rick Grimes, his family and a group of other survivors find themselves constantly on the move in search of a safe and secure home. But the pressure each day to stay alive sends many in the group to the deepest depths of human cruelty, and Rick discovers that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be more deadly than the zombies walking among them.
