Fear the Walking Dead just went where The Walking Dead never has. The sibling series to the highest rated show on cable just dropped on F-word during a broadcast.
During a sequence which saw Nick Clark and Jake Otto riding out of Broke Jaw Ranch in search of the exiled Troy, a shocking sight lead Nick to let out a "F---," as he looked just beyond the camera at a herd of walkers. It's a move which Fear the Walking Dead showrunner Dave Erickson revealed AMC is now allowing twice per season.
"I found out by accident, to be perfectly honest," Erickson told ComicBook.com. "You get a specific number of curse words you can say, and then there's a list of what you can and can't do. I think it was our script coordinator told me there was an email had come up; there had been a memo saying we could now say "f---" twice over the course of an entire season. So you're allowed, at least for now you're allowed to say it."
Those fans looking for the extra language are in luck, as Erickson promises this won't be the last time Fear drops an F-word in Season 3.
"So here's a spoiler," Erickson said. "There will be one more later in the season."
"You did hear correctly," Erickson said. "And it's an interesting line between TV-14 versus TV-Mature. I don't know at what point AMC corporate decided to allow it, but they did."
